Bishop Wenski, born in West Palm Beach on October 18, 1950 grew up in Lake Worth, Florida where he attended Catholic school at his home parish, Sacred Heart. He studied at St. John Vianney Minor Seminary in Miami and later at St. Vincent de Paul Major Seminary in Boynton Beach and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami on May 15, 1976. He earned a B.A. Degree in Philosophy (1972), and Masters of Divinity (1975), from the Boynton Beach Seminary and in 1993 a MA from the School of Sociology of Fordham University in New York. He has also taken summer courses at the Catholic University of Lublin (Poland). |

Secretary of Faith Formation / Superintendent of Schools
Nicholas M. Wolsonovich, Ph.D.

Dr. Nicholas M. Wolsonovich comes to the Diocese of Orlando as Secretary for Faith Formation and Superintendent of Schools from the Archdiocese of Chicago where he was Superintendent of Schools for seven years. Prior to moving to Chicago, Dr. Wolsonovich served in the ministry of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio, for more than 35 years, 16 years as Superintendent.
He has an expansive and impressive academic background, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy from Catholic University in Washington; a Master’s in Education from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania; a Master’s in Religious Education from Loyola University in New Orleans; and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership/Administration from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. |

Associate Superintendent
James Cooney, M.A.

Mr. Cooney has served as Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Orlando since 1994. Prior to coming to the Diocese of Orlando he was Assistant Superintendent of Schools in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. He has also been a teacher, guidance counselor and high school principal. He received his Master Degree for the University of South Florida in Tampa, and has a Florida Professional Certificate in Administration and Supervision. |

Associate Superintendent
Sr. Rosemary Hickmann, O.P., M.S.

Sister Rosemary Hickmann, O.P., came to the Diocese of Orlando as Associate Superintendent of Schools specializing in Staff Development in July 1997. Prior to this, she was Director of Education, Diocese of Gary, Indiana from 1989-1997. Sister Rosemary served as a teacher, school administrator in several dioceses and received Master degrees in Educational Leadership and in Pastoral Studies. |
Director of Instructional Technologies
Mrs. Margie Aguilar |
Mrs. Aguilar joined the Office of Schools in August 2006. Margie worked at the University of Central Florida for seven years as the Coordinator for the Faculty Multimedia Center and Network Manager for the Office of Instructional Resources. She has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from UCF. She is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all Instructional Technology functions for the schools.

Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Phyllis Mann |
Ms. Mann has been in Orlando since 1957 BD (before Disney). She has been with the Diocese of Orlando for 15 years - first with St. Mary Magdalen School as Library Assistant, Receptionist and Secretary and for the past 10 years with the Office of Schools. Her primary duties include serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools and providing service to all Diocesan teachers as Certification Coordinator. |

Administrative Secretary
Ms. Kathy Martin

Kathy Martin is the pleasant personality who generally answers the telephone when you call the Office of Catholic Schools. She was born in Michigan but grew up in Brandon, Florida. She recently moved from the Tampa Bay area to Kissimmee. In June 2005, she joined the Office of Catholic Schools as Secretary. Her primary duties are to provide administrative support to the Associate Superintendents for Curriculum and Staff Development. She also coordinates and maintains the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System for foreign students attending Catholic schools. Another major responsibility is to monitor the Office of Schools’ revenue and expenditure accounts.
